Friday, so soon after ending the break, I'm still glad to be back on the late night sleepers' roster. (Today is Saturday, anyway.)
Right. So liking D.Gray-man pretty nicely. I can't remember the proper romanization of the names of all the characters, but that won't stop me from overdoing this rant to death. (Cliche sponsored by Shakespeare, by the way.)
Please stop the conspiracy and let me at that inter-dimension, time traveling machine. (=_= )
Lavi (bandana-eye-patch) and Kanda (straight black hair) roasting Komui for being nervous about Lenalee (his sister). The story behind them is Lenalee was taken into this organization and basically held prisoner there until her big brother, Komui came and straightened the place up. Ah, Komui, my favourite work-a-holic(?). Lavi is a bookman (history-keeper) so he gets information and remembers EVERYTHING. (EVERYTHING.) Kanda is the anti-social swordsman of this series, but he's been in the organization for a while (and has known Lenalee for quite a while too ;D) and he's a pretty listener, too. Komui does, indeed, have a sister complex.
Third one is Sailor Moon esque, still love it though. Allen (main character, guy with the cape) is the only guy with his weapon available. Even though he should be unconscious right now. He's such a sweety! (OMGULAY, I'm not only VAAAAN and HITOOOMIII's age, but I'm the same age as ALLLEEEN WAAAALKEEER~.)
Last one is an Allen and Lenalee moment. The two had last seen each other after Lenalee escaped from a monster ambush (which Allen was left behind in). Once it ended, Allen got into a fight, with an opponent that was some crazy semi-boss who broke his weapon (Allen's right arm) and shot a hole straight through Allen's heart. (Cause ya' see, Allen usually gets hurt because he's such a nice guy and got injured helping someone before the fight.) Afterwards, Allen's unconscious body was found, and Lenalee and Lavi were told that they would probably never encounter Allen again (since his weapon was busted forever!).
--BUT NO! Allen came back with this full-body armor/weapon after his right arm regenerated! And right when Lavi, Lenalee, and a whole lotta' their comrades were about to get srsly pwned (yes, I know .__.) by the Earl of Millenium (bad guy). So, Allen saves the day and all the comrades get to witness this lovey dovey moment between Allen and Lenalee. Honestly, though, I kind of like the idea of Lenalee and Kanda, but all three of the main guys have probably had something for her anyways.
...
I surprised myself when I realized how much I liked this manga. It kind of annoyed me at first, because of the absolute confusion I received from a D.Gray Man synopsis, since the story is pretty...complex. Also, I think the rantings of many fans was jibberish to me. I do like it now, and now I am one of those fans and I speak jibberish fluently!
