Just a little bit more artistic than アンドリュ
I love the kanji for my name, (I do realize that this kanji is purely for my benefit and I will forever be アンドリュ to the Nihonjin but hey...)

安堵龍

あんど=Relax
りゅ=Dragon
I'm curious to see what everybody else's name looks like and what it means. To quote a coffee cup I bought here in Japan, "Let's make and share the good times together!"

vampire knight anime
Hey all. Vampire Knight just got made into an Anime and only just started airing last month.

All of the episodes that have aired are posted on Veoh.com. The ending theme song is especially great...

"Can't stop"
Just a quick question:

How would one say "can't stop [doing something]", as in "can't stop listening to a song [because it's addictive]", etc?

Thanks for any help!

More with little つ
Lately, I've been looking up lyrics to songs, and I've realized that some phrases END with little っ and I was wondering what that does... I'm stumped. Please help!

The phrase 'o tasuke ni ikimashou':
Is this 1) Honourific, 2) Humble, 3) Both/Either, 4) Nonsense/Grammatically incorrect?

Edit: (Though now that I think about it, as it partly refers to the speaker, even if the form were originally 1) it would default to 4).)

The '-zu ni' form:
'Without thinking' (though different forms): 'omowazu ni' or 'kangaezu ni' (I think).

However, how would 'without worrying' be said? Following the above pattern it seems as though it would be 'shimpai shizu ni', but that somehow doesn't sound right. Is it that after all, or if not, how would it be said?

The phrase 'to become able to betray':
Hypothesised Japanese version: 'o uragire ni naru'.

Is this correct or incorrect? If incorrect, what is a correct version? If correct, what is the general rule, and how are transitive verbs handled? (An 'wo o', which would seem strange, or a different form?)

Edit: (In fact, this would also be a transitive case... ah, the object is probably optional, though, as it could be assumed through context by all concerned.)

Second edit: I strongly suspect my hypothesis was completely wrong... In any case, what would the correct Japanese version of the English phrase be?

I found another exuisite Kuro x Tomoyo artwork from 15385bic! It's also having the same scenery (which is the pond!), it really suits Tomoyo-hime as the Water Bearer!

Check this one!!!

AU Fic: Family
Not the greatest work, of course, but I thought maybe I could just share anyway.

Title: Family
Fandom: Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE
Character(s): Kurogane/Tomoyo, Kendappa (a.k.a. Amaterasu)
Genre: General
Word Count: 1,386
Rating: PG-13
Warnings: AU. Some references to OU Kurogane's past, though they shouldn't be obvious.
Summary: He was a rebellious teenager, recently orphaned and sent to live with a family he had barely met. She was a very gifted musician, shaped to fit a highly refined and noble world. With such contrasting personalities, how could they get along?
Author's Notes: The first chapter of my first multi-chapter. This is a little experiment, so I may or may not complete it. But more importantly... is this worth continuing? Please let me know! I'll appreciate any feedback.
Disclaimer: Tsubasa RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE belongs to CLAMP.

[ It was the beginning of a rather... unexpected relationship. ]

Hello all!
Just a small question about good ol' 敬語...
How do you put an honorific verb in the ているform? For example, 'He's teaching Japanese in England.'
イギリスで日本語をお教えになっています?
or:
イギリスで日本語をお教えになっていらっしゃいます?
or just:
イギリスで日本語を教えていらっしゃいます?
It seems like it should be a really simple question but for I can't find it in any of my textbooks...
ありがとうみんなさん!

How do I write this?
I tried posting this in linguaphiles, but Firefox won't cooperate with my attempts to see what people replied with, and the computer characters look like they're oversimplified anyway.
So. Context: I have discovered (and become addicted to) the local paint your own pottery place, and I'm doing a series of pieces with somewhat cartoony dragons on them. Current work in progress is a Dragon's Blood Coffee mug.
They also have a sake flask and cups.
So, how do I write "Drunken Dragon Sake" in Japanese? Can anyone point me to a site where I can see actual images (gif or jpg etc) of the characters? I want to write it vertically down the side of the bottle.

Help!!
Please help me if you can ;_;

My first problem is this one:

ずいぶん中途半端な時間米たね

Can someone give suggestions? I don’t understand the second half of this line. Does it mean "USA time"?? I mean, it can't be rice time (yeah, I'm confused)

Also, the follow up of this one is:

My problems is, I don’t know this kanji(s) and I can’t find them.

If you can help me, I'll be very grateful. Thank you in advance and sorry for bothering you

Yesterday I went to the mall and bought a movie (well, two movies, but its in one case).
The first one is 'Tsubasa- The Princess in the Birdcage Kingdom', while the other one was 'xxxHolic- A Midsummer Night's Dream'.
My first thought on the xxxHolic movie was "Holy crap Shakespeare!". I wonder if the Jap club would be interested in seeing it, but then again, like I had said, we've been seing movies alot, and havent had the chance to really try something new...=.=
